Thoracic Disc Degneration

The thoracic spine is the part of the spine to which the ribs attach. Because of these ribs, the thoracic spine is relatively stable, and because of the support of these ribs, rarely wears out. However, on occasion, the thoracic discs can degenerate causing pain.
Usually, the more mobile parts of the spine, the neck (between the head and the rib cage) and the lumbar spine (between the ribs and the pelvis) are the parts to wear out first.
